Mash Up Examples

My friend actually just posted this on my wall last night and I thought it was a perfect introduction to some examples of mash-ups. I personally love mash-ups and remixes of almost every kind, so my friends tend to post . So when she posted this on my wall, I thought it was pure genius. It's a mash-up of clips from Toy Story and some audio bites to create an actual song. I may or may not be adding this onto my itunes later tonight.

This next one is more for fun for those Lord of the Rings and World Cup fans out there. It can be considered a parody, but also it's a mash-up in a sense that it takes a large portion of the clips from the film/trailer.

  1. Toyz Noise is AMAZING!!! LOVE Pogo! I really think it's cool how he edits the sound bites to reveal a few key phrases from the movie. Thanks for posting!

  2. the Toyz Noise sounds just like the Up mash-up that we listened to in class-made by the same guy, right? Because the film has so many sound effects (hence the title), I think it lends itself to a mash-up very well.
Also, the vuvuzela one is great; reminds me of the Legolas, "He's taking the hobbits to Isengard" remix :)

  3. In class I actually wasn't that impressed by Pogo, but in Toyz Noise I really enjoyed it probably because I have seen that movie a bazillion times so I know what parts of the movie it was coming from, and I am not as familiar with UP. And with the Fellowship of the VuVuzela I Loved it because I loved watching the World Cup, and understand the power of the Vuvuzela along with loving the Lord of the Rings! Good Choices!!

  4. Toy Story song mash-up- amazing. Toy Story just makes everything better, I was trying to use it somehow in my mash-up but I can't figure out a way to make it work with any other movie! This song idea is great.
